For dealership staff and marketing managers.
Blog posts are built in the same editor as your pages, with a few extra settings: an excerpt, a published date for scheduling, and categories.
Steps
- Log in to dealers.overfuel.com. Click Website, then Blog Posts, then Add Post.
- Enter the Post Title.
- Expand Post Excerpt and write a one- or two-sentence teaser. It's what readers see on your blog page.
- Build the post body with Heading, Text, Image and Video blocks. For how the blocks work, see How do I build a new page from scratch using the Overfuel Page Content Editor?
- Open Post Settings and set:
- Status: Published.
- A Published Date. A future date schedules the post.
- Visibility, Author, Page Slug, Meta Title, Meta Description and Featured Image.
- Click Save.
- Open Post Settings again to tick Categories. Categories can only be added once the post is published and saved.
Your post appears on your blog, usually at /blog, and has its own address, such as /blog/your-post-slug.
? The Featured Image is used on your blog listing and in social media previews. It isn't shown at the top of the post itself, so add an Image block if you want one there.
For the full walk-through, including what to put in each field and tips for posts that rank, see 10-minute recipe: publish a blog post that gets found.
